Existentialism

Existentialism is a really interesting concept to me, and I think people often misconstrue it to be negative. However, in reality, it helps people live in the moment and live life to the fullest. This is because it teaches people that the life they are living is the only one they have; there’s no redo in the afterlife. Although this is scary to some, I find it comforting in a way because it reminds me to take risks and live life without regrets.

Additionally, it helps people remove themselves from the strict confines of society. With moral codes guiltiness, it can be easy to find yourself stuck in the social expectations. By following existentialism, one can remove themselves from these rules and live life purely how they want to live it.

The last line that says “in spite of all these things or perhaps because of all these things, life is wonderful” resonates with me as well. I think that it is because of these things that life is beautiful and worth living. It reminds people to not rely on the idea of an afterlife to make decisions or take chances.
